Old Abbey Gardens have recently constructed their new and exciting display gardens.

The display gardens have been designed by BHL Landscape Design and have been constructed in association with Tobermore Concrete Paving Products.

The display gardens are intended to provide inspiration for the gardener, whether they have an acre or a small balcony.

The gardens will broaden people's minds to the vast potential of their outdoor space as to what a garden can be.

The gardens accommodate plunge beds which will contain plant selections based on various themes. These will be rotated regularly and should provide valuable ideas for plant combinations which will suit your garden.

The gardens are laid out in a series of rooms. Each room has a specific feature or shares a feature with the garden next door.

The spaces are designed to have a natural flow while having a distinctive character.

The designs move from the more modern concepts to ideas that would be at home in a traditional garden.

Each display garden has a certain amount of permanent planting to provide the framework and structure. Plunge beds will surround this permanent planting , whether it is a hedge or shrubbery. These plunge beds will display quality plant selections and associations, providing customers with inspiration for an entire border of planting.

The garden designs are based on a series of themes including the English garden, contemporary garden and rustic garden.
